2013 BOGs Reunion and AGM
BOGs 12th Reunion. It is comforting, in this modern technological age, to know that people still enjoy gathering together to catch up on each others' news, reminisce and generally enjoy each others' company. This was the case when I attended another enjoyable reunion of Barnes Old Girls on Saturday, 17th August and I should like to thank the organisers for their efforts. We are all ex-pupils of the secondary school that was by the River Thames in Lonsdale Road (and a very chilly walk to school that could be in winter!).
Obituary
Marion Brackpool
Very sadly Marion Brackpool (née Lane) passed away in 2013, after a short struggle with cancer. Marion was a founder member, and archivist, of BOGs and will be sorely missed, particularly at Reunions.
2012 BOGs Reunion and AGM
The girls of Barnes County Secondary School were back in town for the 11th reunion of Barnes Old Girls (fondly known as BOGs).
Over 30 ex-students met in The Bulls Head, Barnes on Saturday, 18th August for their annual gathering. An afternoon of eating, drinking and socialising was enjoyed, and the 12th reunion will soon be in the planning
Barnes Society Day, 12th May 2012
We had a very good time at the Barnes Societies Day on Saturday the 12th May 2012 at the Old Sorting Office in Barnes. We enjoyed meeting up with members, going through old school photos and promoting BOGs to visitors to the stall.
